Catalan Media is an English-language media agency providing news/features and sports coverage from the far south of France (the area coloured dark green on the map shown right) classed as the Pyrenees Orientales - the Eastern Pyrenees, also known as French Catalonia.
The area is rich in natural beauty, from the snowy mountain peaks (below)...
...where families rub shoulders with top class athletes on the ski slopes
...to the sandy beaches of the Cote Vermeille
...and the vibrant, thriving Catalan culture of the region's many historic cities, towns and villages
The Languedoc Roussillon area has long been noted for its wine production... innovative wine producers are using the very latest methods to produce reds, whites and rosés which are receiving rave reviews.
Tourists flock to the region for the beauty of the far South of France... its culture, its food and lifestyle
The area is an artist's paradise - the likes of Picasso, Matisse, Monet and Dali revelled in its colours and contours. Let Catalan Media help paint a picture for your readers/viewers or customers.
Call us for coverage of any news event or development within tourism in the area. If you're looking for colour pieces on local culture and cuisine - we've got it covered.
Meet the team...
Catalan Media is owned and operated by Steve and Denise Brady (pictured) - an English couple who decided to combine their love of France, warm sunny beaches and Rugby League by moving to live by the Mediterranean Sea in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Steve has been a journalist for 35 years, working for a variety of newspapers in the UK, starting out as a junior reporter under the expert guidance of Beryl Taylor at the Ellesmere Port Pioneer. He then worked for United Newspapers (latterly Johnston Press) in a variety of roles up to Editor.
He has worked for radio and television and travelled the world reporting on his favourite sport - Rugby League.
Denise has worked in sales and commercial management in the newspaper industry and also in the world of sport. She was Commercial Manager at Wigan Rugby League club and worked at both Central Park and the JJB Stadium.
Based in the hills of Les Alberes, near Perpignan, Catalan Media hopes to let the world in on this beautiful hidden corner of France... there is so much to discover here, including Rugby League!
